It might be a little late for this utility, being 1999, but who knows...
I ported this to *nix mainly for myself, but if anyone else can benefit
from it, here it is: uCON, the best SNES console utility to date.  Enjoy.

install: 
  "make" or even "g++ -o ucon ucon.cpp"

note: 
  I left the ? functionality in for help, use \? as appropriate.
  Cleaned up the code a great deal, still messy, but it does the job.
  Modified the display for standard terms.
  Added long filename support.
  Fixed the Genesis section.

don't mail me asking for commercial ROMs.
do look for more useful console stuff from me soon.
